HER SMART GIRL LIST

In 2010, I picked up one of the most memorable books I have ever read... a book that changed the way I viewed myself as a woman and the "women" who shape the world today.

To {very briefly} sum up this book, author Jordan Christy challenges all women to toss out the trashy lifestyle that Hollywood has glamorized and welcome a lifestyle that reflects the traditions of feminine poise, grace, sophistication and intelligence... all without coming across as a prude.

One of Jordan's main points in the book was for women to develop a "Smart Girl List," which she describes as "a concrete way to articulate your goals." She encourages women to write down a list that will help her become a more articulate, knowledgeable and well-rounded woman.

Ema's Smart Girl List:
* finish my master's degree
* learn and become fluent in French
* purchase my own home
* pay off my student loans
* become a mentor
* work on a politician's campaign
*learn ballroom dancing

And there's my Smart Girl List. Now I challenge you! Instead of logging into Twitter or Facebook to check up on pictures of Lindsay Lohan walking out of rehab, jot down your "well-rounded, well-spoken" Smart Girl goals.

Jordan puts its it most simply when she states, "it's about women- of all ages, from everywhere around the world- taking a stand for class, self-respect and dignity."

Check out more about Jordan here, then tell me what's on your Smart Girl List via a post below! I can't wait to hear all about your Smart Girl dreams!!

xoxo

That's a great list. Go for it!

I have no idea what mine would contain--I'll have to give this some thought...
